Hey Flashes, a quick reminder... The items from our cookie/gift fundraiser will be delivered to the school on Wednesday, November 13 (tomorrow) between 10:30 and 11: am. Please make arrangements to be at the school for pick up. The delivery company will deliver the items on a pallet in front of the school.

Temperatures are dropping and winter weather will soon be upon us. As of November 1, students are no longer allowed to wear shorts to school. Please make sure that your students are wearing the proper clothing/outdoor gear to school in the mornings. The morning temp today was in the teens. Coats, hats and gloves are needed for outside play.

Hey Flashes! We have a couple reminders for you! First District Health will be at the school on Thursday morning to administer flu shots, if you would like your student to get the flu shot, please send back the permission form by Wednesday. Our nurse needs to know how much vaccine to bring and how much time to dedicate. Also, the deadline to order Flashes gear on the Sawyer School FB page is next Tuesday, October 29, if you are interested, go out and take a peek!

Hello Flashes! Just a quick reminder on a few things....there will be no school tomorrow or Friday due to teachers convention. Flu shots will be administered at school on Thursday, October 24, if you would like your student to get the flu shot, please make sure to send the consent form back to school on Monday, October 21. Parents, just a heads up! If you have a student in Sawyer Shooting Sports (Trap Team), they were sent home today with books of raffle tickets to start selling. All tickets and money are due back on January 2, 2025. If you need more tickets, please have your student talk to Mr. Phil. Hey Flashes! We found out last night that your pizza orders will arrive at the school on Thursday, October 10 at 5:30. Your orders must be picked up at this time. The pizza's will be unloaded on the sidewalk in front of the school. This actually works out to be perfect timing , as you may be here anyway for parent teacher conferences! They are currently looking for actors/scarers to help out. If you have students in grades 9 - 12 or maybe even yourself, please reach out to Mrs. Sjoquist or a member of the booster club to get details. We are also looking for students in grades 9 - 12 who may be interested in the year book club and help create the 24-25 year book. There will be a meeting on Tuesday, October 8 in the kindergarten room at 8:00 am, please come see what it is all about! Also, a quick reminder that the current fundraiser will end on TUESDAY, OCTOBER 8. All order forms and money MUST be turned in at that time to ensure delivery before Thanksgiving break! The city of Sawyer is looking at having a North Pole Party on December 7! They are in need of volunteer helpers in order to put this event on. She is looking for 2 -3 kitchen workers and at least 8 people to help work games for the kids and donations for the cake walk. The time would be from 2:45 to 6:45. This is a great opportunity for your HS student to earn needed volunteer hours or for parents to meet new community members. If you are interested in helping or donating, please give Jayme a call or text at 701-822-2520. The deadline to sign up as a volunteer is Friday, September 27.
