In an effort to reduce distractions and increase learning, we made the decision to move to a no-cell phone policy during school hours (8:30 a.m. - 3:15 p.m.). Students will be expected to leave their cell phones powered-off in their lockers or in their cars. If parents/guardians need to contact their children during the school day, they can leave a message with the school office staff @ (701) 624-5167. We anticipate this shift in policy will be beneficial to all stakeholders of our school.
If there are any questions or concerns that administration can address, please contact our principal, Mr. Warman, or our Assistant Principal, Mr. Adams, at the school.

The elementary field trip to Berry Acres scheduled for tomorrow has a time change. It was originally scheduled from 8:30 to 11:00 but will now be from 11:30 to 2:00. Students will eat lunch at the school before they leave and will be back at the school by 2:30. If this does not work for parents, please call the school at 624-5167. Please dress kids in warm clothing. If it is raining or snowing, the trip will be postponed. Thank you.

The Booster movie will be held in the big gym tonight! The movie playing will be the The Addams Family and will start at 7:30. You may bring something soft and comfy to sit on! After the movie, stop by the Sawyer Haunted House and Haunted Forest. $10 for the Haunted House and $20 for both
One more for the day!! The HS field trip for the pumpkin patch has also been postponed. The HS will be going on Monday, October 18. The bus will depart at 8:45 and return at 12:30

Please make sure that your students are dressed for their upcoming outdoor field trips! The weather is definitely getting colder and we want the kids to stay warm when doing their outdoor activities. Coats, hats and gloves are recommended!

Hello Flashes, We want to let all of our families know that the school breakfast/lunch menus may not follow the printed menu. Many schools are having troubles getting food items at the current time and have been dropped by distributors. Your students will be fed, it just may not follow the menu.
Sawyer School will be dismissing at 12:30 on Friday, October 8 for teacher in service. Buses will be running, however there will be NO CLC that day!

Good evening parents! Your student should have brought a form for the flu shot and a form for school pictures home. Pictures will be on Tuesday, Oct 12 and Flu shots will be on Wed, Oct 13. If your child will be receiving the flu shot, please send the completed form back to the school asap.
