Good afternoon Flashes! We have a couple announcements/reminders for you . The Sawyer Booster Club Haunted House will opening on Friday, October 11th. They are currently looking for actors/scarers to help out. If you have students in grades 9 - 12 or maybe even yourself, please reach out to Mrs. Sjoquist or a member of the booster club to get details. We are also looking for students in grades 9 - 12 who may be interested in the year book club and help create the 24-25 year book. There will be a meeting on Tuesday, October 8 in the kindergarten room at 8:00 am, please come see what it is all about! Also, a quick reminder that the current fundraiser will end on TUESDAY, OCTOBER 8. All order forms and money MUST be turned in at that time to ensure delivery before Thanksgiving break! The city of Sawyer is looking at having a North Pole Party on December 7! They are in need of volunteer helpers in order to put this event on. She is looking for 2 -3 kitchen workers and at least 8 people to help work games for the kids and donations for the cake walk. The time would be from 2:45 to 6:45. This is a great opportunity for your HS student to earn needed volunteer hours or for parents to meet new community members. If you are interested in helping or donating, please give Jayme a call or text at 701-822-2520. The deadline to sign up as a volunteer is Friday, September 27.

Hello Flashes! Just a couple quick reminders. Ole and Lena Pizza forms were sent home a couple of weeks ago with your students grades K-12. All pizza forms and money must be returned to the office on Friday, September 20th. You still have a couple of days to get orders! Let's make this the best pizza sale yet! Also, we will have school pictures on Thursday, September 19, and Family Code Camp will be Thursday evening, starting at 6:00. This is event is for students and family members in grades K-5 to discover hands on coding and computer science. This event is free, with dinner provided and a live drawing to win a cool robot!! Make sure to look thru all the information, sign forms that need signatures and send back in the enclosed envelope. A new information/registration form was included in the packet. Please be sure to fill out one form per student, not per family, as each student has their own information. Also, for all girls in grades 9 thru 12 who are interested in playing volleyball thru our co-op with Nedrose. There will be a parent/athlete meeting on Tuesday, August 13 at 7 pm at Nedrose HS. The first practice will be on Monday, August 19 from 9 to 11 am AND 3:30 to 5:30 pm. ALL athletes must have a physical completed before they can practice. Enjoy the remainder of your summer and we will keep you updated with new information as it comes along!

For our Field Day on Thursday, May 16th, students should bring sunscreen, bug spray, a water bottle and they may want to bring a change of clothes as we are planning some outdoor water games! Field Day will run from 12:30 until the end of the day. The new Field Day apparel order is finished and went home with your students today!

Good afternoon Flashes! We would like to remind you that the Activities Awards Banquet is coming up on Thursday, May 9 at 5:30. This banquet is for all students in grades 4 thru 12 who participated in any of the following activities. Band, choir, volleyball, cheer, basketball, football, track, drone racing or E-sports. A form was sent home with students who were in the following activites. Parents if you are interested in attending, please fill out the form and return to the school with your payment no later than Monday, May 6th. Participants are free, family tickets are $5 per ticket.
