Due to the inclement weather conditions, Sawyer Public School will be closed tomorrow. It will be a virtual learning day. Elementary students were sent home with activity packets and middle and high school students should log into Google Classroom for information from their teachers and their assignments. Completed packets should be returned to school on Friday and Google Classroom assignments should be submitted as required by the classroom teacher. Safety remains the number one priority for our students and staff. Please stay safe and warm!

Good morning all! Please remember that we are making Gingerbread Houses on Friday. If you haven't had a chance to send in a tub of vanilla cake icing or fun decorations (Twizzlers, gum drops, Dots gummy candy, peppermints, fruit loops, regular M&M's mini candy canes, mini marshmallows, sprinkles, and/or red hot candies) please try to do so. The students just love this activity!

Good afternoon Flashes! The staff at Sawyer School would like to wish you and yours a very blessed and safe Thanksgiving holiday! Enjoy your time with family and friends. We will see you back in school on December 2! Don't forget to take a peek at your December calendars for all the upcoming events. Our students in grades 2 - 5 will be performing Alice in Wonderland Jr on Saturday, December 7 at 1:00. The Christmas program for grades pk-1 will be following that performance.
Attention Flashes! ALL after school activities for Sawyer Public School are cancelled for this evening. This includes boys basketball open gym at Nedrose. Students will be asked to ride the bus home. If you plan to pick up your child after school, please no later that 3:30 and please contact the school office. Hey Flashes, a quick reminder... The items from our cookie/gift fundraiser will be delivered to the school on Wednesday, November 13 (tomorrow) between 10:30 and 11: am. Please make arrangements to be at the school for pick up. The delivery company will deliver the items on a pallet in front of the school.

Temperatures are dropping and winter weather will soon be upon us. As of November 1, students are no longer allowed to wear shorts to school. Please make sure that your students are wearing the proper clothing/outdoor gear to school in the mornings. The morning temp today was in the teens. Coats, hats and gloves are needed for outside play.
