When I’m not playing music, I enjoy playing softball and volleyball, reading, and working on craft projects! I enjoy collecting musical instruments and vintage cameras. I live in Minot with my husband and our three cats: Siam, Burma, and Abraham DeLacey Giuseppe Casey Thomas O’Malley the Alley Cat (but we call him Malley or Mr. O’Malley for short!).
A New Year • New Faces • New Opportunities
Dear Sawyer Flashes Families,

and are looking forward to a year filled with learning, growth, and new opportunities.
We are excited to introduce our new administrative team: Ryan Stockie, Principal, and Angela Froseth,
Assistant Principal. We are honored to serve the Sawyer community and look forward to building strong
relationships with our students and families.
We're also pleased to welcome several new staff members to the Flashes family:

Dalen Engg – Physical Education
Brooke Larson – School Counselor
Katelyn Schumaier – Special Education
There is a great deal of excitement throughout our building with so many new faces and fresh ideas. We
invite all 7–12 families to join us on Monday, August 10th to meet our administration and office staff, tour
the school, ask questions, and learn about the academic opportunities, activities, and supports available for
your student. We look forward to welcoming you and showing you what it means to be a Sawyer Flashes

My name is Mr. Engg. I have always had a passion for physical education and overall health and fitness. I loved playing high school sports and being a part of the team atmosphere. In my free time, I like to read a good book, spend time with my horses, and hangout with friends, or exercise. I love to travel to National Parks every summer and explore the great outdoors! I am a very hands-on person and like to work outside. I have coached basketball and the track for the past four years. I look forward to working and learning with you students!

I am your new Assistant Principal Angela Froseth. I am married to Tony and we have 4 kids: Leah, Austin, Caden, and Hanna. We are also blessed with two beautiful granddaughters, Evelia and Aurora. I have two pups Bugs and Kya. I love to read, spend time outside, watch TV, and spend time with my family. I have been a teacher for 17 years at Des Lacs-Burlington in 1st grade and 3rd grade. I love teaching, but am ready for this new adventure as your assistant principal. I can’t wait to meet all the students and families here in Sawyer. My door is always open, please stop in and introduce yourself. I'm excited for this year and what we can do together.

Ryan Stockie here, as many of you know my role with our school has continued to evolve over the years, and this year I will be stepping up as your PreK-12 Principal. I love to spend “free time” with my wife Brittany and our beautiful baby girl, Anahri. We work on house projects, swim, and ride bike. We are all also avid readers!
We have a lot of changes this year at Sawyer School and a lot of opportunity for growth! With change can come discomfort and confusion, so please reach out to me directly if you have any questions or concerns. I look forward to continue working with you all and can’t wait to see where Sawyer continues to grow from here.
