Hello Flashes! We have a couple of reminders for you! Pre K will be starting on Tuesday, September 2, we are so excited to meet you all! Also, if you have athletes who are playing JH/HS Volleyball or 5/6 GBB, PLEASE get your registration forms and fees turned into the office ASAP! Our September calendar will be showing up in backpacks tomorrow, please note that Wednesday, September 10th school will dismiss at 12:30. There will be no after school program this day. Good morning Flashes Family, Mr. Stockie here with a few important activities updates:
Physicals: Students must have an up-to-date physical on file with both Sawyer and Nedrose before participating.
5th/6th Grade Girls Basketball: We’re excited to share that Nedrose will be hosting our 5/6 girls this fall! Practices began yesterday, August 18th, 3:00pm at Nedrose High School. (Start time will be later once school starts.)
JH & Varsity Volleyball: Volleyball season is underway! A few students have already connected with Nedrose coaches. If any other girls in grades 7–12 are interested, please reach out to Nedrose to get started.
Transportation: After-school transportation to Nedrose for activities will begin tomorrow. Families are responsible for arranging pickup after practices and games, as well as on weekends and holidays.
Activities Fees: New this year- fees must be paid (or arrangements made) before students can continue participating in Sawyer activities. Forms will be sent home during the first week of school and before each upcoming activity.

Good afternoon Flashes! Junior high girls volleyball practice begins on Monday, August 18th from 3:30 to 5:00 @ Nedrose. Parents/guardians will be responsible to get their athletes to practice on Monday and Tuesday of next week. School transportation will begin as soon as school starts on Wednesday, August 20.

Good afternoon Flashes! Just a reminder that Girls grades 9-12 volleyball meeting @ Nedrose High School will be on Tuesday, August 12th at 6 pm. Junior high girls volleyball practice begins on Monday, August 18th from 3:30 to 5:00 @ Nedrose. All athletes need to have a physical BEFORE they will be allowed to practice. Please turn a copy in at the Sawyer office and also take a copy to Nedrose. See you all soon!

We hope you all are having a fabulous summer! Our Back to School packets were mailed today, you should be receiving them by the weekend! There is a lot of information in the packets, be sure to look thru them carefully and sign/fill out all forms and return them to the school as soon as you can. Also, fall sports are just around the corner. If you are planning on participating in boys/girls golf or girls high school volleyball, please get your sports physical soon! Good afternoon Flashes! If your student was in an extra curricular activity, they were sent home with an invitation for our Awards Banquet on Friday, May 16 at 5:30. All students who participated and their parents/guardians will be admitted free to the banquet. All additional guests will need a ticket. Tickets can be purchased in advance at the office are $5 each, tickets will be $10 each at the door. If you have not pre registered, using the QR code on the invite, please do so as soon as possible, as we would like to get a head count as accurate as possible for the meal.
