Good afternoon Flashes! The staff at Sawyer School would like to wish you and yours a very blessed and safe Thanksgiving holiday! Enjoy your time with family and friends. We will see you back in school on December 2! Don't forget to take a peek at your December calendars for all the upcoming events. Our students in grades 2 - 5 will be performing Alice in Wonderland Jr on Saturday, December 7 at 1:00. The Christmas program for grades pk-1 will be following that performance.
Attention Flashes! ALL after school activities for Sawyer Public School are cancelled for this evening. This includes boys basketball open gym at Nedrose. Students will be asked to ride the bus home. If you plan to pick up your child after school, please no later that 3:30 and please contact the school office. In addition, please stay tuned for weather/school alerts regarding school delays or closures. Should this need to occur, you will be notified through text message, phone, via Facebook and our website.

Hey Flashes, a quick reminder... The items from our cookie/gift fundraiser will be delivered to the school on Wednesday, November 13 (tomorrow) between 10:30 and 11: am. Please make arrangements to be at the school for pick up. The delivery company will deliver the items on a pallet in front of the school.

Temperatures are dropping and winter weather will soon be upon us. As of November 1, students are no longer allowed to wear shorts to school. Please make sure that your students are wearing the proper clothing/outdoor gear to school in the mornings. The morning temp today was in the teens. Coats, hats and gloves are needed for outside play.

Hey Flashes! We have a couple reminders for you! First District Health will be at the school on Thursday morning to administer flu shots, if you would like your student to get the flu shot, please send back the permission form by Wednesday. Our nurse needs to know how much vaccine to bring and how much time to dedicate. Also, the deadline to order Flashes gear on the Sawyer School FB page is next Tuesday, October 29, if you are interested, go out and take a peek!

Hello Flashes! Just a quick reminder on a few things....there will be no school tomorrow or Friday due to teachers convention. Flu shots will be administered at school on Thursday, October 24, if you would like your student to get the flu shot, please make sure to send the consent form back to school on Monday, October 21. Also, the end of the first nine weeks is October 23. Please make sure your students have all their work completed and turned in. Have a great long weekend everyone!

Parents, just a heads up! If you have a student in Sawyer Shooting Sports (Trap Team), they were sent home today with books of raffle tickets to start selling. All tickets and money are due back on January 2, 2025. If you need more tickets, please have your student talk to Mr. Phil. Also, if you do not have a student in our shooting sports program but would like to purchase a ticket, give us a call and we can point you in the right direction!
Hey Flashes! We found out last night that your pizza orders will arrive at the school on Thursday, October 10 at 5:30. Your orders must be picked up at this time. The pizza's will be unloaded on the sidewalk in front of the school. This actually works out to be perfect timing , as you may be here anyway for parent teacher conferences! Have a great day everyone!
