Parents/students... The winter season is upon us. Please do NOT send your child to school with shorts. We need to be mindful that bus routes can be long, and there is always the chance of getting stalled. PLEASE make sure to send your PK - 5 students with a COAT, HAT, SNOW PANTS, BOOTS AND GLOVES. Good afternoon parents! This is a reminder that First District Health Unit will be here Tuesday, October 31 to administer flu shots. A form was sent home with each student 2 weeks ago. If you would like your student to have the flu shot please go on line to register. If you need new paperwork, please give the office a call at 701-624-5167. Thank you and have a great evening.

If you signed a consent form for the SEAL!ND program for your student. They will be here on Tuesday, October 17 to check your childs teeth for cavities, put sealants on the back teeth to prevent cavities and apply a fluoride varnish.
Also, don't forget the haunted house starts tonight! The hours are from 7:00 to 11:00 both tonight and saturday night! Come out for a good ScArE......
Good afternoon Flashes families! Your students have been sent home with a FUN raiser packet. Inside the packet are instructions and dates, NOTE...the date the order forms and payments must be back to the school is MONDAY, OCTOBER 23. Happy selling everyone!
One more item to mention is the Haunted House starts this weekend. It will be running Friday and Saturday, October 13, 14, 20, 21 and 27, 28 from 7:00 to 11:00.
Students in grades 5 thru 12 are encouraged to help out, however a consent form must be turned into the office before students will be allowed to help. This is a great opportunity to help out the Booster Club, have some fun and do a little scaring all at the same time!

Hey Flashes! Don't forget that tomorrow is PAJAMA DAY!! Wear your favorite pj's to school! Also, the Fall Bazaar is this Saturday at the school! Come out and pick up a few pumpkins, squash, and gourds. Every Sawyer student who attends will receive a free pumpkin! We have 15 vendors lined up to share their awesome products with you, come out and do a little shopping, grab a cup of cider and a baked good and sit and visit with a friend for a bit. It will be a GREAT way to jump into Fall.

Good afternoon - those students who are on Rodney's bus will be late getting home tonight due to mechanical difficulties with his bus. They are now on their way to Velva!
Good morning Flashes!! A parent consent form from ND Dept of Health was sent out at the beginning of the school year. It is for students at Sawyer Public School who do not have a current dentist. A dental hygienist from the state will be in our school on Tuesday, October 17 to check your child's teeth for cavities, put sealants on the back teeth and apply fluoride varnish to help keep them strong. Good morning! Here is a quick reminder for everyone....School will be dismissing at 12:30 tomorrow, Wednesday, September 20th due to staff inservice. Busses will run their routes, there will be no after school program. Also there is no school on Monday, September 25 due to Pre K thru 12 teacher professional development.
