Ms. Ortloff was born and raised in McGregor, ND. Her greatest memories are spending most of her time on the farm with her grandmother.
When she is not working she enjoys the company of her three grandchildren, Finnley (7), Griffin (4), and Charli (3). They are her greatest joy, and when she is not with them she enjoys family, crocheting, crafts, movies, and camping.
Ms. Ortloff graduated UND-Williston with an Associates of Science Degree in 1990, then she moved to Fargo. In 1993, she graduated from NDSU with a Bachelors Degree in Horticulture and Business. She spent many years working for wholesale tree and shrub nurseries, garden centers, and landscape companies.
After a few years in the landscaping business, she decided to pursue her dream of psychology. She graduated Argosy University in 2010 with a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy. She enjoyed her internship, working with individuals, couples, and families in an office setting and explored in-home therapy for a few years.
The past year working as a counselor in the Sawyer School District has been a great experience. The students here are amazing and smart, the teachers, administration, and staff are supportive and aim for students personal growth and academic success. She looks forward to a great year!
